Over the weekend, the National Handball Super League roared back into action with an uncompromising vengeance, marking the third and fourth game days after a brief interlude.

However, the disparity from the previous weekend’s closely fought contests couldn’t have been more glaring, as the favored teams unleashed a brutal onslaught upon their hapless opponents. Umar Isa, a relentless force on the pitch, surged like a cheetah and vaulted over defenders with the grace of a kangaroo, all before delivering jump shots with surgical precision to orchestrated a jaw-dropping performance, accumulating a staggering tally of 18 goals and four assists.

In a display of sheer dominance, UPDF subjected Kyambogo to an unrelenting baptism by fire, culminating in an utterly lopsided scoreline of 49-21 in favor of UPDF. This feat catapults Isa above all, overshadowing the previous scoring record of 15 goals in a single game, held by none other than Olugai Brian Wilson of the Mak Bulls, a record set in the previous season.

Ndejje University displayed their dominance by overpowering Mak Bulls with a commanding 41-28 victory, while Uzaledo found themselves outmatched, falling to Prisons with a scoreline of 38-47.

On the women’s side, Victoria University (W) unleashed their might, leaving Kyambogo University (W) nursing their wounds after a resounding 39-15 win. Meanwhile, Police (W) displayed their prowess by washing out Nkajja (W) with a score of 41-30.

Makerere Ladies, unfortunately, faced a formidable Ndejje (W) team and succumbed to a sweeping defeat, with the final score standing at 16-47. Kawanda Secondary School put up a valiant fight but ultimately fell short, losing 30-32 against Ndejje University (W). Kyengeza also found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreline, as they were vanquished 44-52 by UPDF (W). 

As the dust settled,a fan commented about The weekend’s ruthless proceedings which left no doubt about the league’s unforgiving hierarchy by saying, “ Kibooko evuze nyo leero!”
