It couldn’t have gone down any better as teams from Arch rival schools in Machado from Ntare School and Chwezi from Mbarara High aka Chaapa Clash in the Finale of the inaugural School’s Alumni Champions League on Saturday at Legends Rugby Grounds.
The league featured 32 teams from various schools such Ntare School, Mbarara High, Kibuli SS, Ndejje SS, Makerere College and many others.
The two teams were underdogs in either semifinal, having to go through formidable sides from Kibuli.

Machando managed to keep it together in both legs punishing a talented Solida side 2:0 and making them the first side to qualify for the final.
Chwezi on the other hand finished business in the first leg against Sasi taking a 3 nil advantage. The Kibuli side came out guns blazing in the second tie, but despite all the efforts, it wasn’t enough as they only managed to score 2 goals.
The two Kibuli sides who were favorites to make the finals will meet for the 3rd place playoff fixture before the main event which will be at 7:30pm. The curtain riser event shall be a friendly match between the Sponsors Pepsi and NBS Sport team which shall kick off at 4:00 pm.
Machando is a team in the Ntare Lions League (NLL) made up of Ntare School Old Boys of the Class of 2009. The Cohort joined the school in 2004. The name Machado draws inspiration from the Ntare School slang for “merchandise” that was derived from the illegal act of selling items such as books, pens, shoes, basins and in extreme cases decker beds and desks in the neighborhood Kajogo slum.
Chwezi FC was founded in 1998 based on cohesion, trust, support, inclusivity, and building careers of members. It is known for winning games in its mysterious ways and you just can’t seem to beat them when it comes to late kick offs.
Alot of activities will take place including Corporate Social Responsibility ones and it’ll also feature the sensational Sheebah Karungi. The day sha be capped off with the screening of Uefa Champions League Finale between Manchester City and Inter Milan
