The sevens season in back every team’s preparation is underway in high gears with each team having so much expectations.

The Uganda Rugby Union on 14th July announced the dates for the different regional 7s with the opener being 24/25 of Central 7s hosted at the Graveyard, Makerere.

The Central 7s will take place on the following dates

• 24/25 June, Graveyard, Makerere
• 8/9 July, MUBS grounds
• 15/16 July, To be Confirmed

5 women’s teams and 14 men’s teams are expected to compete in the 2023 edition of the central sevens circuits.

The teams include, Panthers, Ewes, Lady Pacers, Black Sapphires and Lady Swans for the womens.

Eagles RFC, Kyambogo, Entebbe Jaguars,Kisubi Pacers,MUBS, Blue Phoenix (debutants). The following reserve teams will also take part, Sailors, Boks, Stallions, Kifaru, Rams2, Bisons, Jjengo and Intangas.

Dates for the Eastern Region 7s

• 15th July – 15th – Crocs
• 29th July – Mbale Elephants
• 5th August – Bugembe

Dates for the Northern Region 7s
1st July- Arua
15th July- Gulu
29th July- Lira

Western Region 7s confirmed dates stand as follows.
25th June – Kigezi
8th July – Nyakasula
22nd July -Masaka
