The Women’s Uganda Beach Handball team has today departed to participate in the 2nd Africa Beach Games in Hammamet, Tunisia slated for 23nd to 30th June 2023.

The Africa Beach Games are also qualifiers for the world Beach Games in Bali, Indonesia from 5th to 12 August, 2023.

8 players made the team and these include, Scovia Lamunu (Captain), Nasiimu Mutesi (Vice Captain), Annet Ayochan, Kalsum Abiria, Hilda Abangit, Shakira Agarile Bako, Brenda Adokorach and Doreen Ondoa.

Team set for departure

5 teams are set to participate in the event in a round robin style. Teams include, Tunisia, Algeria, Kenya and Mali. The games shall be played on 24th, 25th and concluded on 26th.

A special customized Jersey will be used by the team and all efforts in the design was courtesy of Makerere Handball Media.
