It was an exciting opener to Game week 15 of NBL Men as the KIU Titans easily crusied to victory despite trailing in the first quarter.

Rezlife Saints started strong gaining a 5 point lead to close the 1st quarter. Titans offense wasn’t firing with and poor ball handling errors which resulted into 5 turnovers.

Titans came back a rekindled side in the second quarter with the introduction of Balungu who scored 3 of the 4 attempted 3 point shots. Contributions from all the players saw the Titans take charge of the game.

The Balungu show continued in the third quarter and the Saints just seemed to have no response for the Titans who fully had the game in the grip of the hands.

Titans lead grew up to 18 but the Saints sliced through it to make it a 14 point game heading into the fourth quarter.

The KIU Titans dominion wasn’t about to stop as they just kept launching attacks after attack making it a 26 point game with 1:40 left.

A later 7:0 run by Rezlife Saints cut the difference to 19 and the KIU Titans continued their pursuit for the NBL Championship

Match facts

KIU Titans had a staggering 50% FG, 62% 2P and 12 3PM.

They also had 26 team assists compared to just 11 from Rezlife.

Despite Saidi Amisi injury in the fourth quarter, he posted 16 points, 5 rebs, 2 ast in the 20 minutes he was on the floor. He was also an efficient scorer with 77% FG.

Denis Balungu was the player of the game and he shot lights out. He made 8/11 3-point shots and scored 30 points (game high) off the bench.

Innocent Ochera was also phenomenal easily linking up play with his teammates. He posted 8 pts, 4 rebs and 8 assists.

Aligawesa Claude (13 points, 3 rebs, 2 assists) and Arnold Kisekka (12 pts, 5 rebs & 2 ast) were the primary scorers for the Rezlife Saints.
