It was the Jimmy Williams show as the Nam Blazers “new kid” came out balling to inspire his team’s victory against the KIU Titans.

The KIU Titans started strongly finishing the first quarter with a 5 point lead.

The tides soon changed in the second quarter as the Blazers offense, led by Jimmy D, went to work while the Titans seemed to drift off to sleep.

The game became even better in the third as both team’s offenses we firing on all cylinders but the Blazers slightly edge 20:18.

The Blazers went on a 7:2 run to start the fourth and got a 12 point lead.

The worst was yet to come for the Titans, as the Blazers soon increased their lead to 14 with 3:10 left.

A couple of Free Throws from Ochera and Stanley cut the difference to 9 but a pull up jump by Chris Omanye and a Paul Odong 3 point shot were the final straw to the Titans Nightmare.

Match Facts

Jimmy D was the Spark to the game, bringing flair and trickery to the game. He also led the scoring with 26 points and 3 rebounds.

Peter Cheng who was named Player of the Game had a double double with 13 points, 18 rebounds and 2 assists.

Chris Omanye once again showed his ability to make his teammates better, he recorded 8 assists accompanied with 12 points and 6 rebounds.

Collins Kasujja led the scoring for the Blazers with 11 points, 8 coming in the first half.

Joseph Chuma missed out on a double double, he registered 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists.

Stanley Mugerwa also had a decent game with 8 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks.

Denis Balungu who had been 8/11 from beyond the arc in the previous game was 0/4 and only registered 8 points.

KIU Titans had 52 rebounds, 10 more than Namuwongo Blazers. They also had 5 blocks whereas the Blazers weren’t able to register any.

The Blazers however were able to register more assists (16) and steals (10) compared to 14 and 6 for the Titans

The game saw so many players bringing trickery into the game. A couple of crossovers, most notably Chris Omanye breaking Ochera’s ankles.
