After about 2 months of inaction, the UCU Lady Canons are back in action in the NBL and they resumed from where they had stopped, with a big victory against A1 Challenge.
A1 Challenge had started the second round strong, with 3 in 3 victories but the last 2 games were tougher, and UCU was an even bigger challenge.
A1 finished the first quarter with a 1 point lead and things soon started to crumble in the second quarter when the Lady Canons turned up the heat the Canons went on a 9:2 run to gain an 8 point lead.
It was business as usual for the Lady Canons in the second half as they just overwhelmed the A1 Challenge defence with attack after attack.
The Lady Canons outscored A1 Challenge by 11 points in both the last 2 quarters and eventually finished the game 75:49 with a 26 point difference.

Match facts
UCU shot 40% FG, 52% 2P and 10 3 point shots made while A1 had 29% FG, 32% 2P and 7 3PM.
They also had 52 rebounds and 36 bench points compared to 41 and 23 for A1 Challenge.

UCU Lady Canons fielded only 8 players and 4 of them were in double digits.
Hajara Najjuko led the scoring with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assists.

Tracy Namugosa posted 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a huge 5 steals. She also was the most efficient shooter with 62%.
Gazzelles youngster Shillah Lamunu registered 16 points on 45% FG and added 6 rebounds.

Vivian Nafuna continued with her streak of incredible performances for A1 Challenge leading the team in Points and rebounds. She posted 13 pts, and 9 rebs.
Faith Apio also had a good game with 12 points, 3 rebs, 2 ast and 2 steals.
