NBL Giants UCU Canons have lost their last four games and this has left so many questions than answers about the trajectory of the team in the second round.
The Canons started the season on a low losing that game again Ndejje Angels but soon settled in and got big wins even against contenders Nam Blazers and KIU Titans in a spectacular second half 20 point comeback.
In the last 5 games, they have lost four consecutively and have a narrow 1 point win against Our Savior. The Ndejje Angels were able to complete the double in an ecstatic game that was decided in Overtime.

KIU Titans who lost to the Canons in Round 1 in an unbelievable 20 point fourth quarter comeback were able to get their revenge while also the Nam Blazers who looked very terrible in the first round make easy work of the Canons.
The Canons who finished with 7 wins and 4 very disappointing and unexpected losses against JKL, Our Savior and UPDF in the first round look to be a different side as per the recent results and this has been down due to a number of reasons.
First and foremost, their stalwart Nick Natuhereza who is undoubtedly the most important piece to their puzzle is a very busy man and has been in training with the Gazelles and also Fuba work at the USSA games in Kabale. His absence has in so many ways affected the team and thus the recent results are enough to tell the story.
The team also seems to lack belief as noticed by many fans, they conceded against Nam Blazers with almost a minute left in the 4th quarter.
They also started well against Ndejje Angels and KIU Titans but soon lost control of the game and the team ended up making comebacks.
They have also experienced a couple of injuries different players missing a couple of games, Peter Sifuma out against Blazers, Jerry Kayanga against UPDF and so many more.

Some also argue that the loss of Fayed Baale (joined City Oilers) who was so instrumental last year affected the camp very much.

It is yet to be determined is the cause of the horrifying results is the absence of the Coach, sloppiness from the players, fatigue, lack of belief or a combination, but the fact is, the Canons need to wake up lest they will have a short lived spell in the playoffs.
The Canons currently sit in 4th position with 9 wins and 8 losses and this has to worry many fans because with the current trajectory, they could fall further down and end up meeting one of the top 2 in the first round of the playoffs.
They have 5 more games to play against City Oilers, KCCA Panthers, Kampala Rockets, JKL and Power.
All the remaining teams have alot to play for with KCCA, JKL, Kampala Rockets all trying to avoid relegation and playing every game like its their last.
City Oilers looks very dominant and relentless as usual, but the D Mark Power lool a very different side with the addition of Puati Ozias and Elvis Mpeti who changed the team’s fortunes entirely.
It is yet to be seen if the UCU Canons can wake up from that awful stint and soar high just like the people know they can do, otherwise they may end up winning none or just 1, as the opponents will be fighting very hard.
