The storm is finally over and the JT Lady Jaguars can surely feel the sunshine.
The JT Lady Jaguars will head to the semifinals of the National Basketball League for the first time after they defeated a tenacious and young Magic Stormers side who had forced game 3.
The return of Zainah Lokwameri boosted them greatly as she contributed on both ends of the floor missing out on a triple double by 1 assist.
The UCU Lady Canons also swept KCCA Leopards and doing so in style. The Canons came very late for the game but looks like that did not affect them in any way as they blew the Leopards away in the first quarter and continued with the pressure throughout the game.
Tracy Namugosa was on fire dropping 29 points on the Leopards.
As expected, the JKL Lady Dolphins finished the business against A1 Challenge who never really put up much of a challenge.
KIU Titans also came with their brooms and swept the KCCA Panthers all the way to the dust bin. The Panthers led the first quarter by 2 points but the Titans took the lead in the second making it a 2 point game.
The Panthers kept within touching distance being a 2 point game to close the third quarter. Things however started to work against them as the Titans upped their gears on offense while the Panthers couldn’t just match them.
Our Savior sent the Ndejje Angels home after an incredible fourth quarter performance.
The Angels led by 1 point to start the final quarter but they seemed to have lost their offensive edge scoring just 10 points in the fourth quarter whereas Our Savior found their spot and scored 25 points in the same period.
The Game 3 fixture between D-MarkPower and UCU Canons was rescheduled for Wednesday.
Power forced game 3 after their victory on Friday but what stood out was their loss of composure in the final quarter. They had a 20 point lead but lost it a bit probably due to excitement, the Canons eventually cut the lead to just 4 points with 3 minutes left.
It will be a crunch tie as the final team to get their ticket to the semifinals shall be determined.

KIU vs Power/UCU
JKL Lady Dolphins will be seeking revenge against the UCU Lady Canons after they beat them last year in Game 7 to win the Championship.
The KIU Rangers and JT Lady Jaguars are both on a mission but it being the Jaguars first time on this stage, one could argue that they are the underdogs in terms of pedigree.
Our Savior are in the semifinals for the first time and they face a ruthless City Oilers side. It is yet to be determined if they have what it takes to defeat the “dictator”.
The Semifinals shall be a 5 Game series and first to 3 wins advances.
