The JT Lady Jaguars experienced a major setback in Game 1 of the semifinals of the National Basketball League Playoffs after losing to the KIU Rangers.

The game didn’t start off great for the White Jaguars as KIU stormed them 22:11 in the first quarter.

An improved second quarter performance saw the Jaguars slice through the lead by 2 points.

Things went down spiraling in the third but the an inspiring start to the fourth quarter almost sparked something.

2 quick back to back 3 point shots by Sandra Ayikoru and Rhoda Nagitta gave the Jaguars a bit of life but the Rangers managed to cut off the momentum.

Positives

The fight from the girls in the fourth quarter despite being down with a huge deficit.

The return of Sarah Ageno is very big for the team and she was phenomenal off the board with 13 rebounds, 8 in the second quarter.

The return of Among Annet who got a fracture earlier on in the season was also a big boost to the squad.

The bench came and made some impact, with 17 points and 6 of the 7 players involved.

The Ladies will be back in action for Game 2 on Wednesday.
