2012 National champion Alfred Gumikiriza will miss the National open grand finale after being knocked out by usual boggy player Ronald “Kamwaanyi” Akampulira in the Round of 16 in the Regionals at Blacksheep Arena in Mukono.

“Blacksheep” becomes the biggest casualty of the qualifying exercise.
In Masaka 2013 Losing Finalist Joseph Mutawe qualified for The Grand Finale after Winning Mutebi Matlida Who also Qualified alongside Kato Paul. The Masaka Qualifiers also left The Region’s Favourite Timothy Boika not getting a Chance To Qualify.

Elsewhere Two Time National Champion Turigye Jonah aka Joker also Qualified for this Year’s Grand Finale after winning The Matugga Regionals at Koma Gardens. Turigye Won Timothy Kasujja in The Finals.
The Third place was taken by Veteran Player Godfrey Kaggwa who was a Player of former Slow Boat Pool Club at Kampala Road.

In The Ladies Category The Pool Cranes Star Rose Namugerwa won The Masaka Ladies Qualifiers after winning Maimuna Nangendo in The Finals.
Brenda Nasasira also came Third to book a Place in The Grande Finale which will take place on 11/November/2023 at The Mtn Arena Lugogo.

Finally In Luwero Little Known Fred Tumwesigye, Farouk Kagumya and Jude Samula Qualified Leaving Two Senior Players Akankwasa Salim and Segawa Charles crying.
