The 2023/2024 FUFA Women’s Super League kicked off in style and as is expected, their was a lot of drama in the different match days.
UCU Lady Cardinals and Lady Doves opened the season with a nil nil draw. Despite creating a couple of chances, both teams lacked an edge in front of goal justifying the end result.

The defending Champions, Kampala Queens had to comeback from a goal down against Uganda Martyrs. To add insult to injury, Uganda Martyrs’ former player Catherine Nagadya was the one that plunged the dagger into their hearts with a 90 minute winner for Kampala Queens.

Makerere Ladies Football team started with a big victory against Wakiso Hill at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. New signing, Noeline Namiro scored the solo goal in the second half and the return of Yudayah Nalubega from retirement helped the team secure a clean sheet.

Newly promoted She Maroon started the season with a bang putting 5 past Asubo Ladies on their own backyard.
Lillian Kasubo scored the first hat trick this season whereas Millicent Namwembe got herself a brace.

Kawempe Muslim also got off to a winning start in what was a perfect first half performance. They put 3 past Riness in the first half and Hadijah Babirye scored inside 4 minutes.

The league returns this Saturday with 2 fixtures and 3 on Sunday.
The game one will be Makerere University Ladies taking on Kampala Queens at Makerere University Main Grounds.
The other big one shall be Kawempe Muslim up against UCU Lady Cardinals at the Kawempe Muslim S.S Grounds.
