Makerere University Men’s football team are having a time of their life in this years University Football League.

The Mak Enzymes maintained their 100% record after downing Muni University at the Makerere Main Sports ground commonly known as Tear gas Arena.

The Enzymes started the game very aggressively launching attack after attack.

The first big chance fell to Kusasira Seif who made a powerful strike from distance but the ball was just curled away from the top corner.

Ochieng Ivan got another chance for Makerere shortly afterwards and he also went for Power. The ball unfortunately hit the cross bar and went outside.

Makerere however continued to launch attacks but not creating clean chances for their finishers.

Wansagi Maurice opened the scoring with a tap-in in the 40th minute after being set up beautifully by Male Musa.

Muni somehow managed to keep their composure in the second half and kept creating opportunities of their own. They were unfortunate enough not to create good opportunities as the Makerere defensive was very solid, fizzling out any attacks before they reached in dangerous stages.

Makerere’s chances also seemed to dry up a little and it was as though they had settled for just 1 goal.

Ocheng Ivan finally got himself on the score sheet in the 87th minute with a perfectly placed header from a brilliant cross by Musoke Elvis.

Ekwong Emma controlled the midfield for the entire game and in an interview after the game, he credited the coach for the victory.

“The coach asks us to play, it’s all or nothing. Every time we are on the pitch, we play our hearts out”

Makerere University is still leading their group with 3/3 wins and their defense is yet to be breached.

They will travel to Muni University for their next game and as things look, they have advanced to the next stage.
