Hope Akello undoubtedly the MVP of the 2023 Women’s National Basketball League will need a new trophy cabinet after scooping multiple awards at the awarding ceremony.

Hope is now referred to as “the best female basketball player” in the country currently has had a phenomenal season with the JKL Lady Dolphins and they topped it off as the champions of the 2023 NBL season.

Hope has been contributing on both ends of the floor and her skill set and versatility is like no other. Her basketball IQ is top notch and as a Ugandan basketball fan, one has a reason to smile because the future of the Gazelles is very bright.

Hope Akello was deservedly awarded the MVP trophy and that was not it, as she went on to win Best defensive Player, best Rebounder and lastly making the All-Star team for 2023.

Other All-star players include KIU Rangers trio, Perus Nyamwenge, Uwineza Ninnette, Rose Mary Amaniyo and Sarah Ageno of the JT Lady jaguars.
