The City Oilers nine time undisputed champions and ever since they mounted the throne, no one seems to have enough to match them.
The Oilers secured their 9th title in a row after defeating the KIU Titans in game 6 on Wednesday 25th October.

History made
Ben Komakech got his 11th National Basketball League title.
Jimmy Enabu who was electric and the X Factor in the Finals also made double digits after securing his 10th title.
Titus Lual was named MVP and he most importantly won his first NBL title. Titus had to adjust his role in the finals, as he was made to take a couple of shots from deep and he executed perfectly.
Fayed Baale came out when it mattered the most, dropping 18 points and 4 3PM in game 6. He also won his first Title and was very pumped afterwards.
What’s the key to the City Oilers success?
First and foremost, the City Oilers are very well organized from the Executive level, administrators, coaches down to the players. In a country where sport’s Franchise often get wrangle more so in administration. The Oilers have showed that they can manage to maintain a high level of organization for so long.
Hunger from the players.
The Oilers have consistently scouted with intent and as a result, they have been able to select top players who are always hungry to win. Jimmy Enabu already had 9 titles but his execution on this year’s final was as though he was attempting to win his first. Additions Titus Lual and Fayed Baale also had something to prove and were leaving everything on the floor.

City Oilers have some of the biggest brands behind them. Mandela Millers, Cafe Javas and City Oil all invest loads of money into the team and as a result, they are able to sustain themselves and also attract top prospects from in and out of the country.

The City Oilers will now turn there focus to Road to Bal where they will be playing Club OmniSport De La Police Nationale (C.O.S.P.N) on 14the November and Joston Basketball Club (JBC) on 15th November.
