In a rather unexpected manner, the UMU Flames were swept by Victoria University Crocs in the quarter finals of the 2023 FUBA Division 1 playoffs.

Cedric Alema and Nyong Marier were the architects of the show against UMU Flames as Victoria university in game 2 and they combined for 30 points and 16 rebounds.

Nkumba Marines managed to force game 3 after losing out narrowly in game 1 on Friday.

Mark Ngobi (24 pts, 4 rebs, 5 ast, 2 stl), Gerald Ayiko (14 pts, 15 rebs, 3 stl, 2 blk) and Joseph Kavuma (16 pts, 1 reb, 2 ast) were unplayable in game 1 and helped to guide Falcons to victory.

In Game 2, Nkumba Marines were on a mission and they successfully managed to accomplish it. They played much better defense and as a result, Falcons had to seek some support from the bench which made 26 points.

Nkumba had a slight edge against the Falcons and game 3 will be one of the most interesting encounters.

Livingstone managed to take game 1 against Tropical Royals in a very exciting contest.

Livingstone always had a slight upper hand and this was very evident in the second half.

Bismarck Okot was a man on fire and he narrowly missed out on a double double. He posted 19 pts, 9 rebs, 4 ast, 4 stl and 2 blks.

Joshua Namutegere also contributed when it mattered the most. He recorded 15 pts, 4 rebs and 5 asts.

Joseph Bwaku collected 12 rebounds but his offense was so poor more so when his team needed him most. He was 2/9 FG and 1/6 from the Free Throw.

Juma Osman on the other hand was very lively but his contribution wasn’t enough for to earn his side a victory. He recorded 19 pts, 5 reb, 1 ast and 2 steals.

The JT Jaguars were too strong against a short handed Miracle Eagles.
