A Division 1 promotion is at stake and it was very evident in the Semifinals game 2 as Sommet took on YMCA on Tuesday 7th November.

YMCA came into the game with a 1:0 in the series and needed a victory to advance to the Finals and automatically book a place in the 2024 FUBA Division 1.

However, Sommet also knew that a lot is on the line and had just one mission, to keep the series alive.

Sommet started the game with such dominance, playing easy, brilliant and team basketball. They got a 19 point lead by the half time and all signs pointed to a victory for them.

In the 3rd quarter, YMCA cleaned up their messes from the first half and played with much more intent. They outscored Sommet by 13 points and made it a 6 point game.

Ring Bol and Andrew Kirabo seemed unstoppable as they kept shooting, amassing 18 points of the 30 in the quarter.

The fourth quarter was perhaps the most jittery, more so for Sommet players and fans. YMCA came within 5 points on five different occasions but they never managed to tie or take the lead.

Sommet were crumbling under the pressure but somehow managed to weather the storm and force game 3.
