Great Thinkers Chess Academy held a successful 3rd edition of the Great Thinkers Junior Chess Championship 2023 which saw 150 children participate.

The event was hosted at St Andrew Kaggwa Gombe High School, Kawaala (the holders of the Father Grimes National Schools Chess Championship for the ladies) on 11th November 2023 and it attracted participants from several schools and Chess Academies.

Wabwire Ronald who was the overall winner after winning all his games.

K.T.L.C Chess Academy fielded a number of players and it was no surprise that they managed to scoop some of the major awards.

Wabwire Ronald who is less than 10 years was the only person who won all the 7 rounds and was named the overall winner bagging 150 Dollars.

The C.E.O of Great Thinkers Chess Academy Mukisa Glory Bbumba was super happy with the turn up and competition exhibited and promised that they will be staging bigger and much better tournaments in the future.
