A 20 year dream for Livingstone finally came to life after they defeated Nkumba Marines in Game 3 of the semifinals of the 2023 FUBA Div 1.

This was one of the most intense games with 5 players fouling out, an ejection, 4 technical fouls and so much more.
It was the dream start for Livingstone after they took a 12 point lead in the first quarter. Nkumba was plagued with turnovers, they committed 11 in the first quarter alone and Livingstone was there to punish.
Nkumba managed to stay in the game, cutting the deficit to as less as 3 points but Livingstone always kept an arms distance.
Nkumba had a lot of opportunities to come with 1 or 2 points but for some reason, they couldn’t execute and Livingstone stayed on top.
With both teams getting in the bonus half way the quarter, it was going to be decided on the Free throw line.

Livingstone was sent to the free throw line 17 times in the fourth quarter and they managed to score 10 of those.
Nkumba was also sent to the Charity line 12 times and managed to score on 10 occasions.
The tensions were flaring in the game and Isaiah Mulunda did one of the most cynical plays. He slapped Bismarck Okot very hard on the face and was given an unsportsmanlike foul.
