There’s is no denying that, City Oilers is a well Oiled machine currently running down every opponent that crosses their path.

Their latest victim is Ferroviaro Da Beira who, despite fighting very hard couldn’t keep up in the final quarter and as thus, had to succumb to a loss.

City Oilers came into the game with one job, to pick a victory, finish the group stage with 100% and top the group which they managed to achieve successfully.

They now advance to the semifinals and have a new task, to win atleast one game, which guarantees them a top 3 finish and a ticket to the 2024 Basketball Africa League.

Talking points

City Oilers bench has been one of the strongest and this game alone, the bench contributed 38 points. Robinson Opong has been the most lethal player off the bench and he can win the game himself if it comes to that.

Youngster Allawi Senku had a moment to remember after making his debut and putting points on the board.

The oilers are also very lethal from the 3 point line. They managed to make 11 3 pointers, Opong, Tony Drileba and Fayed Baale doing most of the damage.

Defensively, the Oilers were also quite sound, they had only 12 personal fouls and sent Ferroviaro Da Beira to the line 12 times which is considerably low.
