On 2nd December 2022, it was tears, torment, agony, excruciation and discontent after Livingstone lost to Rezlife Saints in Game 3 of the Semi Finals that eventually saw them unable to qualify for the National Basketball League.

Fast forward to 1st December 2023, Livingstone defeat the JT Jaguars in game 5, to finally lift the FUBA Division 1 trophy.

After tying the series on Wednesday 29th, Livingstone had all the momentum and they knew that they were capable of winning it all, if they ironed out a few errors.

It was an end to end first half action, both teams taking the lead for small spells but Livingstone finally pulled away after making an 8:0 run half way the second quarter.

The Jaguars tried to stay within touching distance in the third quarter but they kept making error after error and committing foul. They sent Livingstone to the Free throw line 13 times in the third quarter alone and signs of panic were starting to set in for them.

The fourth quarter Shenanigans followed the JT Jaguars in game 5. They scored just 9 points and 6 turnovers. The Jaguars came into game 5 with a -38 in the fourth quarter for the series and things weren’t going to change abruptly for them.

They looked clawless and clueless and nothing was going their way. Livingstone on the other hand did a great job of keep them on the leash, a small but managed cushion between them.
