The Kampala Hockey Swans tightened their grip on the 2023 National Hockey League title after easing past Wananchi on Sunday 3rd December in Game week 20.
The game was end to end in the first half, but neither team had gotten a break through until a very unfortunate incident.
Muber Consolate of Wananchi was given a red card in the 24th minute after using abusive language towards the umpire.
The Swans got an the opener a minute later after Alum Norah Norah converted from the Penalty Corner.

Her sister, Akello Lucky doubled the Swans lead in the 33rd minute from another Penalty Corner.
The First field goal came 6 minutes later through Vicky Auma, with a powerful strike to make it three for Kampala.
KHC Swans kept dominating the game and in the fourth quarter, Lucky Akello scored her second from a penalty corner.
Phiona Nakalyowa scored the consolation for Wananchi a minute later, after gliding past thr goal keeper to score in the empty net.
The Swans weren’t done yet, Lucky Akello completed her hat trick in the 59th minute sending her top on the Top Scorers chart with 23 goals.

The KHC Swans are now top of the table with 32 points and all signs point to finishing the season unbeaten, replicating the 2004 Arsenal invincible team.
The Swans have 2 games to go, one against Makerere Eagles and the other against Deliverance Church and as per the coach Makhtum Muziransa, it’d take a miracle for them not to win atleast one of those games.
