9 August, 2023, the Ndejje Angels end the City Oilers unbeaten run to the amusement of very many fans.

190 days later, the 2 sides meet once again on the, Valentines day, the day of love but nothing like that shall be on the court as the City Oilers will be out for revenge while the Angels seek to make it back to back victories against them.

The Ndejje Angels come into the game with a lot of confidence and belief after making that late come back against the Kampala Rockets to win the game with the last possession.

City Oilers have also started the season in striking form with 3 wins in 3, and a winning margin of 25+ plus.

Their offense has been top not h but their defense has been in stratosphere of its own. They limited Power to 35 points, Our Savior to just 38 and JKL to 56.

Titus Lual vs Christian Ndibu

The last time Titus faced the Angels, he had a game to forget finishing with 0 points and 4 rebounds, 4 turnovers and 4 fouls in 21 minutes.

He has also not been dominant offensively so far in the season averaging 9.3 points, 10 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.7 blocks.

Despite struggling offensively in the first game of the season against the JT Jaguars with 9 points, Ndibu picked up 18 rebounds, putting his height and size to great use.

He was also dominant in their last game scoring 20 point, 10 rebounds and 2 steals.

Ndibu has been a powerhouse for the Ndejje Angels this season with an average 15.7 points, 12.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

The battle of the two bigs will be interesting as the paint is where most of the teams’ points have been coming from.

Cikom Monybai vs James Okello

Another battle for the big bodies and both Captains shall be wanting to have a big impact on the game.

Monybai had 3 blocks in the last games and his rim protection is sublime but he will be facing James Okello who isn’t afraid to attack the rim with such force.

James has had reduced minutes to give chance to his new teammates but he has still contributed significantly with 7.3 points, 6.3 rebounds a d 1.7 assists.

Cikom has also had reduced minutes but his impact while on the floor has been massive with 8.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

Ivan Muhwezi vs James Obrack

Ivan has been rewarded with a national team call up and he will want to impress his coaches and fans and prove it was not a fluke.  He has started the season on a high averaging 13 points, 4 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

James Obrack has elevated his game to a whole new level putting in fine performance every time he steps on the court. His 13 points average is second among teammates with 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

Fayed Baale vs Haron Alinaitwe

Fayed has been unplayable to start the season with a 13.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.7 assists. He has also been called to the National team and he’s by far the favorite to win this match up.

Haron has something to prove and this is his opportunity to show the world that he can ball. He averages 7.5 points 3 rebounds and 4 assists.

He will come into the game with confidence from the last time the 2 faced off, where he scored 13 points on 60% FG.

Talking points

The Ndejje Angels will have to be efficient from the field if they are to have a chance. Oilers defense has been rock solid and every opportunity the Angels get has to count.

Last time round, Gatwang Thuok and Samuel Ajak were the problem each scoring 20+ but they will not be featuring today and the Angels have to find efficient scorers.

The City Oilers don’t need to do anything out of the usual. Their offense has been great and their defense very solid, if they can do what they have been doing, it should be an east one of them.
