The KCCA Leopards continued their winning streak, making it 7 in a row, and this time around, the UPDF Lady Tomahawks were on the receiving end of a serious beating that they will not forget any time soon.

The Leopards started the game with such dominance scoring 27 points as opposed to UPDF’s 4 in the first quarter.

It was a much improved second quarter for the lady Tomahawks scoring 17 but the Leopards were still on top of them as they had reached the half-century (50) mark at half time.

The same momentum carried forward and by the end of the third quarter, it was already known that the KCCA Leopards had won the game but the mystery lay in, would they reach the 100-point mark?

In their previous game against Kampala University, the Leopards had stopped on 99 and there was a bit of a sting for them, they wanted to cross that threshold by all means in this game.

In the final 2 minutes of the game, the Leopards applied a full-court press and as a result, they scored 3 quick baskets in 47 seconds and made the 100-point mark.

During a conversation with Captain Rebecca Susan Aanyu, she said, “We just play to win”

During an interview with a new signing Sherinah Mwenyango, she attributed the team’s performance to the players. “Each one of us has a role to play and when you step on the court, you cannot water down your teammates efforts”

The KCCA Leopards team had a whopping 40 points and this speaks volumes about the contributions from every.

The Coach also gave an update on the potential return of Moreen Amoding, “She’s currently doing physio but has been training with the other hand, soon she will be returning”

The UPDF Lady Tomahawks also had a few positives to pick from this game, their Captain Patience Nantume scored double digits for the first time this season, including 3 consecutive 3-point shots. Those were her first 3 point shots to make this season.

Christine Namyalo and Stella Marris Lunkuse also made double-digit scores, this is 6th time they have done so in 8 games and this shows that UPDF has some consistent sources of offense.
