The JKL Lady Dolphins have been perfect thus far defeating every opponent coming their way and this time around, they face the UCU Lady Canons, a side that defeated them in the 2022 Finals despite having gone down 3:0 in the series.
The JKL Lady Dolphins side still has memories from that finals but one could say that they managed to get their revenge during the 2023 season, having defeated the UCU Lady Canons in all their 5 meetings, including a sweep in the semi-finals.

From the side that made history in 2022, a couple of players have left the Mukono-based side and joined other teams. Among those include Agatha Kamwada who crossed over to the Lady Dolphins in 2023.
The Lady Dolphins have won their last 2 games with a margin of 20+ points. However, their game against the Miracle Ravens caught the attention of many people as the 3-time champions were pushed to the limit and they got away with 57:55 victory.
The biggest threat from the Lady Dolphins is the reigning MVP Hope Akello who has an average 10.5 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists.
She was also the first player to register a triple-double this season after registering 11 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists against Magic Stormers.

The UCU Lady Canons have had a good start to the season winning 5 of their 6 games.
Their biggest victory came against Nabisunsa in their previous fixture, 97-49 in front of their fans in Mukono. This was the second game that the university side scored 90+, having achieved that against YMCA Lady Hamstars with a 91-50 victory in game week 2.
Their only loss came against the flying KCCA Leopards and despite the spirited fight they showcased, the Leopards were a far much stronger and skilled side compared to them and game ended 53:74.
The UCU Lady Canons’ dangerous woman is Aziida Nabayunga who averages 10.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1 assist. However, it is important to note that the UCU Lady Canons team has had a lot of rotation with 13 of the 15 players averaging 10+ minutes. Also 11 of the 15 players average 5+ points per game.

The bench contribution shall be a very key for the UCU Lady Canons in case they are to pick up a result.
