Wanderers claimed their second league win after Ceylon Lions fell short by 79 runs at Lugogo on Sunday. Wanderers won the toss and opted to bat first in an overs-reduced match and managed to post 209/6 in 36 overs, Suleiman Shariff top scoring with 80(77).

Despite Fahad Mutangana’s half-ton, Suleiman Shariff’s all-round capabilities came in handy this time with the bowl and claimed five wickets bagging a man-of-match performance.
Tornado Bees CC woes continued as they lost their third consecutive league game against league contenders Kutchi Tigers. The Bees opted to take the field first and restricted Kutchi Tigers to 137/8 in 27 overs. Hasin Ashani fell short of a half century by one run.

Tornado Bees got off to a flying start during the chase having Gerald Olipa at the fore front top scoring for his side with a much needed 53(68). Ghanshyam Ashani picked 3 wickets to restrict the opposition to 111/8 ensuring a 26-run victory for his side. Kutchi Tigers top the league while Tornado Bees CC sit at the bottom of the league standings.
The weekend round for Championship league fixtures started off with JACC facing off with Rounders CC in Jinja. JACC won the morning game after being asked to set a target score. Rounders failed to chase a target score of 95 despite Richard Sohera’s 33(41).
JACC won the second game by 7 wickets after chasing 101 in 17.1 overs. Kenneth Waiswa bagged man of match award with his bowling figures of 3/22 in 4 overs.

SKLPS and KC Buddo shared two points each in their double encounter on Sunday at Buddo Cricket Ground. Buddo won the morning rain-affected game by 4 runs.
The afternoon saw Buddo asked to set a target score. Owiri Robert top scored for his new club to steer them to 146/9 in their 20 overs. Despite wickets falling around during the chase, Rashim Gaimi’s half century ensured SKLPS won by 4 wickets with 8 balls to spare.
Jinja SS cricket oval hosted the clash between Tornado and group A table leaders Soroti City. The latter lost the morning game by 28 runs after failing to chase their target score of 97 after being bowled out for a team total of 68.
Despite the loss Soroti City CC won the afternoon encounter by 20 runs leaving them on top of the standings. The skipper Ronald Ebulu steered his team to victory with an anchoring innings score.
