JACC and Soroti City won their league doubles against Premier CC and SKLPS respectively over the weekend. Ebulu Ronald sought his side to take the field during the morning game. The boundaries were hard to come by for SKLPS during the first innings, with Arvind Hirani top scoring for his side 21(42) accumulating a total of 75/5 in their 17 overs.

The outfield being not being electric due to overnight rains, saw Soroti City score one boundary during the chase. Nevertheless, Soroti City managed to get passed the target score with three balls to spare winning by 6 wickets.
The afternoon game saw SKLPS opting to bowl restricting Soroti City CC to 109/10 in 17.4 overs. Ebulu Ronald top for his side with 29(26), Dipak Limbani doing the damage with the ball with figures of 4-0-14-3. SKLPS did not get any ease with chasing what seemed could be an easy target for them. Derrick Bakunzi picked 4 wickets, SKLPS only managed 83 runs in their 20 overs, and Soroti City won by 26 runs.
Premier CC lost to JACC at Jinja Cricket Oval by 7 wickets in the morning game. The latter won the toss and opted to bowl first restricting their opponents to 78/8 in 18 overs. Marvin Kitamirike and Edwin Nuwagaba picked 3 wickets a piece. The chase was easy as it was thought to be for an in-form side Eddy Agaba leading from the front with a blistering knock of 40(18).

The afternoon game was not far from the previous, JACC winning the toss and opting to field. Premier yet again found it hard to get runs by as they could only manage to post 106/10 in their allotted overs. Hiral Patel to scored for his side with 32(22) while the JACC skipper Lukwita John Ken picked 3 wickets. A 73-run partnership of Kenneth Waiswa and Eddy Agaba take their side home winning by 7 wickets once again in the day.

The weekend results affirmed top spots for Soroti City CC and JACC in their respective groups after completion of their round of fixtures as they wait for their verdicts who will take second spots in either groups of the Championship League.
