The Saturday action took place at ABJA Parks in Naalya and the hosts, Namuwongo Blazers gave their home fans a reason to cheer after bagging another big victory.
Magic Stormers opened up the day with a victory against YMCA Lady Hamstars. Magic Stormers took an 8-point lead after the first quarter and YMCA could not catch up despite playing hard the remaining 3 quarters.
Rose Adhiambo continued her scoring spree, dropping a game high 22 points but it was not enough for the Lady Hamstars. It was 27 points off the bench for Magic that was the difference and Daphine Adong led their scoring with 11 points.
After scoring just 3 points in the first half, A1 Challenge reset and scored 17 in the second. However, the half time break seemed to have killed the momentum because they scored only 13 points in the entire second half while the JT Lady Jaguars scored 33. Mercy Batamuliza with a big double double, 11 points, 18 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 2 blocks.
Our savior closed their first round with a big victory against Kampala Rockets. They outscored the Rockets, 42-15 in the second and fourth quarter. Moses Mugisha with back-to-back double doubles, 12 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists.
Mayer Maker led scoring with 15 points, 7 assists while Puati Ozias Kikomba continued his incredible rebounding, collecting 21 and adding 10 points, 3 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks.

The Namuwongo Blazers had another stellar performance, defeating the JKL Dolphins 89-70. The Blazers had 4 players in double digits but it was Peter Cheng who was unstoppable all day long. He registered 23 points, 14 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks. Joseph Chuma dropped 16 while Daniel Gaaki had 13 points and 8 assists.
Arthur Wanyoto had back to back double double, 10 points, 12 rebounds. Kabangu Clement led their scoring with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals.
