The Magic Stormers returned to winning ways after overwhelming Nabisunsa and clinching a 79-52 victory in the opener of game week 9.

The Stormers applied a pressure defense to close out the first quarter and managed to force 14 turnovers in that time. They also made a 13-2 run and took a 7-point lead.

The same strategy was applied in the second quarter and Nabisunsa couldn’t escape the trap. They scored just 7 points and Magic Stormers took a 19 point lead into the half time break.

Despite a much-improved performance in the second half, including outscoring the Stormers in the fourth quarter, the game was already far gone.

Mpoza Abigail caught the attention of many people as she scored 14 in the second half and finished with a game-high 20 points.

Magic Stormers now has 4 victories and 6 losses. They will be playing their final game of round 1 on Friday against winless Kampala University.
