The City Oilers managed to easily see off the JT Jaguars, who had seemed stubborn in the first half, with a 73-53 victory at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday 27th.
It was a slow start with the first points of the game coming after 2 minutes. Jimmy Enabu scored the first 10 points for the Oilers through quick transitions and by the end of the first quarter, it was a 4-point lead for the Oilers.

The game came alive in the second quarter the oilers taking it, 23-20 and extending their lead to 7.
The teams were trading buckets, and George Agasi put up big points, 8 in the quarter to keep the Jaguars within the game.
The JT Jaguars fought and came within 2 points twice, but they ran out of gas in the fourth quarter.
The Oilers just ran over them in the final period, scoring 22-8 and finishing with a 20-point difference.
The City Oilers have now played 10 games with 1 loss and are on course to being the number 1 seed after the first round. They play the UCU Canons in their final game before traveling for the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
The JT Jaguars have a 4-4 record and they face the struggling Kampala Rockets next on Saturday 30th.
