The Makerere Sparks made it back-to-back victories after picking up a needed 54-28 victory against the JT Junior Lady Jaguars.

It was s very good start for them, scoring 13 points inside 5 minutes but the momentum fizzled out their after.

They scored just 2 others in that quarter and their first points in the second quarter came 6 minutes into the quarter and by halftime, it was an 8-point game.

The Sparks didn’t look back after that and JT Juniors were falling off as the game progressed. The lead bulged to 17 after the third quarter and during the fourth, Sparks limited Junior Jaguars to just 1 point.

Coach Mavita was delighted that the team picked up a successive victory and overall, the defense was good. However, there was concern with the decision-making on offense. The team showed glimpses of great ball movement and patience but often, they made a decision that made their work of trying to score much more difficult.

Sparks return to action on 27th April against Angels at Nakasero Primary School.
