The Magic Stormers opened the game week with a 43-55 victory against the UPDF Lady Tomahawks.

This was the second loss for the army side while it was the first game of the second round for the Stormers. Kur Ajah led the scoring with 16 points, while Daphine Adong had 10. UPDF had no one with 10+ points but Nasiimu Mutesi had a game-high 12 rebounds.

The Stormers returned to action on Saturday against the JKL Lady Dolphins who led from the get go. the Stormers trailed by 4 at halftime but a huge third quarter by the Lady Dolphins a saw their lead bulge to 14. The final quarter was the icing on the cake and the game ended 49-68, Stormers losing their first second round game.

Brenda Ekone dropped 25 points, her 6th 20+ point game while Hope Akello (10 pts, 13 reb, 3 ast) and Becky Longom (10 pts, 13 reb, 1 ast) each had a double double. The Stormers had 3 players in double digits, Daphine Adong (10). Kur Ajah (11) and Nakalemba Martha (11).

Kur Ajah dropped 16 against UPDF and 11 against JKL

The UPDF Lady Tomahawaks also returned to action on Saturday against the UCU Lady Canons. It was a dominant performance from the tip-off with UCU finishing 29-6 after the first quarter. By the half time break, it was 30-point lead for the Lady Canons and the game ended 38-62 after a better second half performance by UPDF.

Shakirah Nanvubya dropped a game-high 25 points while Tracy Namugosa added 19 points on 75% FG. For a conscutive game, the Lady Tomahaks did not have a player register double digit scores. Patience Nantume led their scoring with 9 points.

The Namuwongo Blazers started their second round campaign with 2 victories, 75-64 against Livingstone on Wednesday and 68-70 against Power.

Livingstone led at halftime but Namuwongo turned the tides in the third quarter outscoring them 11-22, to take a 10-point lead. It was a much contested final quarter but the Blazers managed to see it through.

Peter Cheng took over scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds while Paul Odong scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half.
Chuol Nyuot was the biggest difference as the Nam Blazers squeezed past Power. He became the first player this season to register 15+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists and 5+ blocks.

Power outscored the Blazers in the second half 37-30 but that 9-point cushion developed in the first half was enough for the Blazers to see out the game.
Chuol Nyuot had 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks. Innocent Ochera (12) and Joseph Chuma (11 points, 14 rebounds) all coming in big. Power had 4 players in double digits, Isaac Afidra (11), Taarig Powell (10), Samad Imran (17) nd Elvis Ssentongo (12).

Power were back in action on Sunday with hopes of winning their first second round game but the JT Jaguars completed the double against them. They led after the first quarter 24-21 but their second quarter was awful as they only scored n6 points against 19 for the Jaguars. An even second half meant that the Jaguars run away with the win.

Kevin Moru led the scoring with 25 points, while George Agasi had another double double with 13 points and 11 re bounds. Ian Lubwama had 10 points plus 6 assists while Abraham Dut had 14 points. Isaac Afidra had his season-high 21 points, Samad Imran with 11.

The JKL Dolphins registered a win and a loss in their back to back games. They lost 56-74 to the UCU Canons but it was a much better compared to the first round when they lost 93-42 to the same opponents.

Samuel Akudo had 12 points in 14 minutes off the bench and Keith Mugabe scored 10 points. Marvin Jesse Okurut was on fire from the 3-point line making 6/13 and finishing with a gme-high 20 points. Kayiira Joel had 10 p[oints on 80% FG and he added 8 rebounds.

JKL managed to return to winning ways after going to to toe with he Ndejje Angels, the game ending 80-74. Ndejje Angels led 21-10 after the first quarter but JKL leved up in the second taking it 25-12 and getting a 2-point lead at the half. their momentum continued in the third and the lead was extended to 11.

The Angels tied the game with 3:44 left but the Dolphins found away back in and secured the win.

JKL Dolphins had 4 players in double digits, Kabangu Clement (17), Martin Buluma (16), Austin Odiwuor (12) and Keith Mugabe (10). The Ndejje Angels had Jonathan Oketch who was hot and scored 22 points, 5 3-point shots made. Noel Solomon Yamodo with 14 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

The biggest winners of the game week were the Kampala Rockets who managed to get back to back victories for the first time this season, making it 3 wins for them and 2 in the second round. The Rockets won 82-80 against KCCA Panthers with a last second layup by John Dombo in overtime.

New signing Ruai Luak finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists on his debut while Christian Ndibu had 17 rebounds and 7 points. Puati Ozias was very active on both ends, 18 points 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Emmanuel Odong went ff for the KCCA Panthers finishing with 20 points, Stephen Otoa 13 points, 9 rebounds while Davis Assimwe had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist.

Both KIU Titans registered victories, the KIU Rangers making it 7 consecutive wins against the JT Lady Jaguars while KIU Titans scored a game week-high 88 points against Livingstone.

The Titans led by 18 points after the first quarter and the tone was set for the remainder of the game. Kasereka Tembo scored 21 points, Edgar Munaba and Mpiya Juf both added 14 while Peter Obleng who was making his season debut scored 10 points. Bismarck Okot led the scoring for Livingstone with 13 points.

The KIU Rangers had to grind out a 52:58 victory against Lady Jaguars. Their Captain Ines Kanyamuneza got early foul trouble but she still managed to get 13 points, 10 coming in the second second quarter.

Sharon Kirabo was the star of the mom6as she dominated on both ends finishing with 27 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 steals.

Mercy Batamuliza and Sandra Ayikoru Wangeshi both dropped 13 points and Brenda Kayaga added 10 for  the JT Lady Jaguars.
