The KCCA Panthers completed the double over the UCU Canons but there was a bit of drama that could have changed the course of the game in the final seconds.
20 seconds left, the KCCA Panthers lead 71:70, and the umpires make a huge call change. The UCU Canons had just come out of the time-out and failed to score, however, the ball went out of bounds. One umpire said that it was the Canons who had last touched it and the other said it was the Panthers. After agreeing, the possession was given to the Canons but with less than 10 seconds left on the shot clock, they were unable to get off the shot and made a 24-second violation.

The KCCA Panthers got the possession and Caesar Kizito was fouled and sent to the line. He made the first free throw and missed the second but the UCU Canons were in rush and instead made an airball and the Panthers walked away with the win.
The KCCA Panthers came into the game after a loss to the JKL Dolphins in their previous fixture and they were very intent on getting a win against the Canons.
Despite having a season-high 56% Field Goal percentage, Canons scored 93 against the Namuwongo Blazers but conceded 109 and lost the game.
They came into this game very keen on getting back to winning ways and also getting revenge against the KCCA Panthers after they blew a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter and lost by 4 in the first round.
They took a 7-point lead after the first quarter, and they went to the halftime break with an 8-point lead. The Canons had made it a 12-point game to start the second period but the Panthers made a 13-1 run to and tied the game. There afterward, the Canons also made a run and by halftime, they had the momentum.
Heading into the fourth, the Panthers trailed by 4, and 2 minutes into, Caesar Kizito made a huge 3-point shot that gave them the lead for the first time since the first quarter.
There were 4 lead changes and 3 ties in the final 8 minutes of the game but the Panthers managed to secure a 72:70 win, similar to the round one 69:65 win against the Canons.
It is important to point out that the Canons did not field some of their top players, Jimmy Otim, Jerry Samson Kayanga, Marvin Jesse Okurut and Kevin Kasobya.
