It was a baptism by fire in the second half as the JKL Lady Dolphins had no mercy, completely destroying the KIU Rangers.

The Rangers scored just 3 points in the entire third quarter, and a total of 4 Field Goals in the second half.

On the flip side, the JKL Lady Dolphins scored 37 points in the second half which is the total that the Rangers scored all game.

The KIU Rangers came into the game having been the only team to defeat the JKL Lady Dolphins and they were keen on completing the double.

The JKL Lady Dolphins were out for revenge and with their current momentum, it was a going to be a difficult task for the Rangers to stop them.

It was a low-scoring first quarter with a combined 15 points but the KIU Rangers led the 25:23 as halftime approached.

The KIU Rangers had a horrendous third quarter.  The Lady Dolphins’ defense went into another gear and the Rangers did not have an answer. They made it very difficult for the Rangers and they forced 9 turnovers in the process. They also forced the Rangers to take difficult shots and the Rangers only made one.

The Rangers also made it difficult for themselves as they never got drives to the basket. They attempted just 4 free throws and they missed both of them.

In the first 1 minute of the fourth quarter, the Lady Dolphins made 5 offensive rebounds and this was a testament to how beaten down the KIU Rangers were.

They went on a 6:0 run to make it a 24-point game. The Rangers made their first basket of the quarter after more than 3 minutes and by this point, they had given up.

Who can stop the JKL Lady Dolphins?

The Lady Dolphins have shown that the round one loss against the KIU Rangers was a fluke and in Round 2, they destroyed them.

They also destroyed the KCCA Leopards who had been looked at as the title favorites.

As things stand, it’s very difficult to see a team that can out the 3-time champions.

In a game where their Hope Akello struggled, they still found a way and in easy fashion.  Evelyne Nakiyinji stood out and she could be the best point guard at the moment in the league.

She has shown that she will fight all through the game, she finds ways of impacting the game in multiple ways and for some games, she has been the best player on them. This was no other as she got a game high 14 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Rangers lost control of the game and fell into the JKL Lady Dolphins trap.

They relied on the 3-point shots but given that the Dolphins made it very tough for them, a few shots managed to drop.
