The JKL Lady Dolphins have secured the number one seed of the 2024 Castle Lite National Basketball League after they defeated the UPDF Lady Tomahawks 82:48 to make it 20 wins in 21 games for the season.

UPDF applied some pressure in the first quarter but they could not keep up for the entirety of the game as the Lady Dolphins beat their press. The second quarter was woeful for the army side with just 6 points to their name compared to 21 for JKL and by halftime, the Lady Dolphins led the game 42:21.

In the second half, Coach Henry Malinga made a couple of rotations and player like Tamasha Nsubuga, Generous Grant, Shamilah Nakiyaga and Shadiah Nassanga all got a couple of minutes under their belts.

The JKL Lady Dolphins have been cruising in the second round and they are yet to register a loss. With reports that Gazelles’ star Jane Asinde could be joining them, it makes them the overwhelming favorites given Jane’s proven track record and what she’s expected to add to the already stacked team.
