Rwanda U18 girls registered first victory at the ongoing U18 Zone V qualifiers after upsetting Kenya in the final preliminary game.

Rwanda did most of their work in the first quarter as they took an 11-point lead early on. despite putting up a fight in the second and third quarters, the Kenyans couldn’t close the gap.

In the first 3:30 minutes of the fourth quarter, neither team scored a point and it looked like time was running out for Kenya to stage a comeback.

They went on to score more 6 points after that and limited Rwanda to just 3 fourth quarter points but, Kenya still walked away with a 56:47 win
