In a do-or-die affair, the newbies (Livingstone) defeated the oldies (Power) to condemn them to relegation and ensure their survival in the National Basketball League.
After JKL Dolphins and Kampala Rockets had won their games against JT Jaguars and Nam Blazers respectively the day before, Power came into this fixture with a single mission of defeating Livingstone by 8+ points and hoping that Livingstone loses their final game against City Oilers.
However, Power failed to accomplish their end of the bargain as they lost to Livingstone 54:61.

Power led 15:13 after the first quarter and their spirits were up but whatever happened in the second quarter changed the game completely.
Livingstone applied the press and Power couldn’t seem to beat it. They forced 10 turnovers and did not score any Field Goal during that time. Their 3 points all came from the free-throw line and they were also poor in that aspect as they missed the other 5 attempts.
Livingstone led by 12 at halftime and all was going according to plan for them. On the other hand, everything was crumbling for Power and their mood during the halftime break spoke volumes of what was going on, fear.
Powe changed things up in the third quarter and they scored a couple of crucial points. Having trailed by as many as 14 points, they cut the deficit to 7 heading into the final period and there was a growing belief that they could change the situation.
Half way the fourth quarter, Power had a chance to take the lead but Soro Geoffrey made 1 of 2 free throws which tied the game.
They got another opportunity but this time around, Kevin Ogunjimi was the one who missed both free throws, and there afterward, Livingstone decided to punish them.
They made a quick 8:0 run and with 2:30 left, Power knew the ship had sunk and that officially, “Power was out”
