The KIU Rangers have kept their hopes of finishing second alive after defeating the Magic Stormers in a dominant second half performance.

The Rangers led 18:14 after the first quarter but with just 7 points in the second, they trailed 25:26 at half time.

The Magic Stormers’ offense went on leave in the second half as they scored a total of 15 points and just 5 field goals in that time.

On the other hand, the KIU Rangers upped their game as they scored 5 3-point shots and a total of 41 points to win the game 66:41.

The KIU Rangers have a record of 17-3 and they need to win their game to finish in second place.

In their next game, they take on the UCU Lady Canons on Friday 5th July, who they must win to lock down the number 2 seed

During their first matchup in round one, the Lady Canons won by 20 points, 66:46 and with revenge and a number seed on the line, the KIU Rangers will be coming out hard.

The Magic Stormers have a record of 10-11 and with just one game left to play against Nabisunsa, they will be trying to find a win against a desperate side.

If Magic Stormers wins, they will finish 6th, if they lose and Miracle Ravens lose against Kampala University, they will still finish 6th.

If they lose and Miracle Ravens win, they will be finishing in 7th place. But all in all, they will be playing either KIU Rangers or UCU Lady Canons depending on the outcomes of Friday and Sunday.
