Nabisunsa increased their survival hopes after they defeated YMCA Lady Hamstars to go to 10th place.

The high-school side came into the game with the only option being a win if they were to have a chance at surviving relegation and they answered the call when it mattered the most.

After a wonderful first quarter from them, Nabisunsa led the game 25:12 but the situation became bad for them in the second and the Lady Hamstars had their moment, eventually tying the game with 2:30 left in the second quarter.

The Lady Hamstars led the game by 7 in the third quarter but there something sparked off for Nabisunsa and they made a 13:00 run and to close the third quarter, they led the game with 2 points.

The game was tied 55 a piece with 4:45 left but YMCA scored just 1 point in the remainder of the game. Nabisunsa on the other hand scored 12 and they won the game 67:56.

Mpoza Abigail made a huge impact in her first game since returning from China as she scored 23 points and this showed how much her team missed her.

Permutations

Both Nabisunsa and the YMCA Lady Hamstars still have a chance to survive and relegation will be decided on the final game day.

If Nabisunsa win their last game, they will finish 10th and survive relegation.

For YMCA to survive, 2 things must happen. They must win their final game of the season and Nabisunsa has to lose, otherwise, YMCA gets relegated.

Nabisunsa takes on the Magic Stormers whereas the YMCA lady Hamstars faces the KIU Rangers.

The Rangers have already confirmed their third place finish regardless of the result in this game.

With this in mind, one would wonder, will the Rangers come out in full force or will they rest their top players as the playoffs are close and there is nothing to play for?

For the Magic Stormers, they are currently in 6th place and as things stand, they will face the KIU Rangers in the quarter finals.

However if they lose their game against Nabisunsa, they can finish 7th, if Miracle Ravens defeats Kampala University (which is expected) and that means they get to face the UCU Lady Canons.

It is to be remembered that in the previous meeting between the 2 sides, Magic Stormers made a 16:00 run and took a 6 point lead against the Lady Canons. However, they ran out of steam and UCU won the game 69:64.

In their previous game against the KIU Rangers, they lost 66:41 in game where the Rangers were dominant more so in the second half.

With this in mind, the Magic Stormers could see the UCU Lady Canons as the better match-up and thus lose against Nabisunsa in order to attain that.

On Sunday, the Magic Stormers shall open the day with the game against Nabisunsa and if the latter wins, they will have survived.

In case they lose, they will have to stick around and await the result between the KIU Rangers and YMCA.
