This promises to be one of the most competitive and interesting games in the quarter-finals as both teams are viewed as close when to the talent levels.
The KCCA Panthers completed the double over the UCU Canons during the regular season and coming into this game, it’s safe to say the UCU Canons are the underdogs.
During the first round, the KCCA Panthers trailed by as many as 16 and heading into the fourth quarter, they trailed by 13 points.
However, they were more aggressive and their defense improved significantly causing the UCU Canons to score just 10 fourth points while the Panthers scored 27 and won the game 65:69.
In the second round, led with as many as 12 in the second half but they couldn’t close out the game.
The Canons were better than the Panthers in most aspects, like Field Goal conversion, Rebounds, and assists but they were very poor when it came to taking care of the ball.
UCU had 31 turnovers compared to 14 for the Panthers and thus, the Panthers got some extra possessions.
The biggest problem game from the free throw conversion, the Canons scored just 15 of 29 attempts while KCCA capitalized and scored crucial attempts in the clutch.
