The hosts, Nairobi City Thunder stand in the way of the City Oilers and the BAL dream and the Oilers will have to make sure their lightning conductors are working perfectly in order to keep out the Thunder.

Thunder have so far been the best team at the tournament with an average of 93.7 points while scoring 100+ twice in 3 games.

The two teams have conceded the same number of points, 198, and this game may be decided on efficiency.

Thunder has been doing better than  City Oilers in all the areas of scoring and if City Oilers is to have a chance, they need to up their efficiency from the field and the free-throw line.

The Oilers have been better when it comes to collecting rebounds.  Israel Etobo has been doing well in cleaning the boards and a lot of second chance points have been bagged.

This is one of the biggest strengths that the Oilers have against Thunder and Etobo, Maker, and Titus Lual will all have to come up huge for the Oilers in this must-win the game.

The Oilers have been more lethal when it comes to transition and that is a thing they need to keep up.

Thunder has made just 39 turnovers (avg 13) and that is quite low which is a testament of how well they can take care of the ball.

If the Oilers can make sure to punish City Thunder when they make turnovers, the game will become even more interesting.

Key Areas of Improvement

Unlock Roebuck

It is not a secret that Roebuck jr can be an offensive weapon but in the past 2 games, he has scored just 9 points in almost 40 minutes.

Bench

The City Oilers bench scored just 12 points against Urunani in the previous game.

That is an area that needs to change and the other team members have to trust the bench players to make enough attempts.

Fayed Baale and Ivan Muhwezi particularly need to up their offensive game while Mer Maker has to improve on his conversion.

Thunder also have a lot of areas to improve but with the home support behind them, one would think losing today will be a very big disappointment.

The game tips off at 8:30 EAT at Kasarani Indoor Arena with the winner automatically advancing to the 2025 Basketball Africa League (BAL).
