The 2024 FUBA Division One playoffs, which were postponed to January 2025, are set to tipoff on Saturday 4th, January.

The games were postponed last year after officials decided to boycott the playoffs due to the increasing arrears with FUBA.

In a letter by the FUBA General Secretary Mr Hudson Ssegamwenge, he revealed that the officials will get their arrears in 2 phases.

The arrears for the 2023 will be cleared before the start of the playoffs (4th Jan) and the 2024 arrears will be cleared by the end of February.

Finally, all the allowances for the playoffs of the 2024 season shall be paid promptly on every game day.

In a discussion with the Uganda Basketball Referees Association President Mr David Senfuma, he revealed that they will be available to work and one of their aims is to finish the playoffs successfully.

However, he also pointed out that if FUBA is unable to meet the terms and conditions, they may decide to boycott the activities once again.

The quarter-finals is a best-of-3 series, and all teams will be in action this Saturday with 16 games on the card.

2 venues (KIU and YMCA) shall be used on both Saturday and Sunday with the games alternating venues on the different days.
