Amazon Rhinos sweep Legends to advance to Semifinals: Division One

Amazon Rhinos advanced to the semifinals of the 2024 FUBA Division One after completing a sweep, 2-0, against Legends.

On Saturday, the 2 teams faced off for game one at YMCA and the Rhinos managed to get a comfortable 53-41 victory.

Amazon was very active defensively and they managed to force 28 turnovers and scored 23 points from turnovers.

In game 2, Legends tried to fight for a comeback but they couldn’t complete it.

Amazon led the game by 11 points ahead of the fourth quarter, and to their joy, they increased it to 16, and halfway through the quarter, all was going well until it wasn’t.

Legends made an 11-0 run, and all of a sudden, Amazon Rhinos were by the ropes, but they managed to see off the victory.

Hamala Miriam was the star of the game in both games as he registered back-to-back double-doubles.

16 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists in game 2, and 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists in game one.

Despite having a quiet game one (6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist) Francaes Nabulobi capitalized on the line in game 2 and registered a big double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist)

Nassali Margaret showed up big for Amazon in game 2 and she scored a series high 18 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 5 steals.
