JT Jaguars started the new year in high gear with the announcement of 3 new signings from UCU.

2024 semifinalists, the JT Lady Jaguars have acquired services of Shakirah Nanvubya and Aziida Lubega Nabayunga to propel them to the next level.

Shakirah was named in the 2024 National Basketball League team of the season and is expected to bring a lot of production on offense, an area the Lady Jaguars struggled with last season.

She averaged 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.5 steals in the 2024 season.

Aziida, on the other hand, is a hard worker on the defensive end, and she can knock down shots from a distance.

Despite her numbers going down a bit in the 2024 season, she still had a fair level of production.

She averaged 8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 assists.

The 2 will join former teammates from UCU Annet Among, Maimuna Nabbosa and co.

The Men’s aside added Peter Sifuma who has been a very integral part of the UCU Canons.

Sifuma was one of the few players whon averaged double-double in the 2024 season.

He had 12 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists,  1.1 steals and 0.8 blocks.

In the 2024 playoffs, he averaged 14.6 points and 10.7 rebounds.

The JT Jaguars were eliminated in the quarter-finals in the 2024 season but with this acquisition, can they be propelled to the next level?
