The Rezlife stunned UPDF Tomahawks after completing a 15-point comeback to win the game 63-56.
UPDF started very strong leading the first quarter 21-10.
They were very efficient from the 3-point line as they scored 3/5 and everyone thought it might turn out to be an an easy victory for them.
In the second quarter, Rezlife Saints’ offense upped slightly while UPDF declined but the army side still led the game 37-29 at halftime.
The trend continued in the third quarter and at this point, UPDF was starting to feel the heat.
They scored just 13 points and with the Saints’ scoring 21, the game was tied heading into the fourth quarter but the momentum was heavily on the side of the Saints.
UPDF made 11 points in the third quarter and this recklessness coupled with the foul situation was their biggest recipe for disaster.
18 of the 21 points for Rezlife Saints in the third quarter were Points from turnovers.
In the fourth quarter, the situation went from worse to worst for UPDF.
They had more Turnovers (10) than points scored (6).
Talking points
UPDF had more Turnovers (21) than points scored in the second half (19) and this is a very big problem.
They need to find ways of taking care of the basketball to avoid giving away easy baskets.
The fouls are another very big problem for the army side.
