Angels tied the series 1-1 after defeating Our Savior Banyabo 54-51 in game 2 at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday 12th.
Angels led the game 33-20 after the first half and after that horrible second quarter performance by Our Savior where they scored just points points, all signs were points to an Angels victory.
Angels scored 9 points in the first 3 minutes of the third quarter but in the remaining 7, they scored 0 field goals and just 2 points from the free throw line.
As a result, Banyabo cut the deficit to 7 points but to show how poor both teams were in this quarter, there were 0 points cored in the final 2 minutes of the quarter.
With 2:23 left in the game, Patricia Namugambe made a basket to make it a 1-point game, and moments later, the Angels made a turnover, but Gimbo Barbra missed the layup, which would have given them the lead.
With 39 seconds left, Gimbo Barbra was sent to the free throw line and had a chance to give Our Savior the lead but she missed both free throws and Angels walked away with the win.

Talking points
Free throws were a big factor in this game and one could argue that Our Savior lost the game on the line.
Banyabo scored 5/19 while Angels had 17/26, Likicho Martha being the key scorer with 8/10.
In game one, Angels were horrendous with 10/28 while Our Savior had 15/26.
This has been the difference for both teams in the 2 games and with how they have both been inconsistent, it’s no surprise that the series is tied.
The Turnovers is another aspect of this game that will determine who wins the series eventually.
Angels registered 40 turnovers, 14 less than Our Savior (26) but despite this, they scored more points from turnovers (20) than the Banyabo (16).
On any given day, if a team had 40 turnovers, you’d expect them to be punished but Angels got away with this because of how poor offensively Our Savior was more so in terms of breaking away quickly.
