Our Savior Banyabo got promoted to the 2025 National Basketball League (NBL) after defeating Angels 3-2 in a very heated 5-game series.

After falling in games 2 and 3 to a very shaky Angels performance, Our Savior Banyabo tied the series in game 4 and completed the comeback in the decider.

Game 4 was decided in double overtime where Banyabo won 66-58 but Angels had been in the best position to win it but for a few errors.

In the final 20 seconds of Overtime One, Angels’ Angel Akuwei was sent to the line twice, but she missed 4 free throws, and the Angels lost their opportunity to finish off the game.

In game 4, it was an alternating game every quarter.

Our Savior won quarter one 13-8, but Angels took the second 21-16, and the game was tied at halftime.

Banyabo took the third 15-8 but the final was 10-17 in favor of Angels to make it a stalemate at the end of 40 minutes.

Angels made a 14-0 run in the fourth quarter and with that late momentum shift, many thought they’d seal the deal but Our Savior wasn’t done yet.

With 12 seconds left, Banyabo were trailing and after a timeout, they executed and managed to tie the game.

To make the situation even more interesting, Angels made a turnover with some time still left on the clock, and Phion Apio got the steal but she also traveled in the process.

In overtime, Banyabo took an early 3-point lead, and Angels struggled to score in the early stages despite getting 2 baskets later on.
