Following their semi-final exit in the 2024 FUBA Division One season, the UPDF Tomahawks are on a hunt for new players who could help them get promoted back to the NBL in the 2025 season.

The Tomahawks were surprisingly swept by Rezlife Saints 3-0, and in games 2 and 3, they had multiple moments where they were shambolic, and it’s no surprise that they are back in the market.

They have 8 slots available for Point Guards, Shooting Guards and Forwards.

The only criteria that has been put is the height, which is 6’2 feet, 188 cm.

Anyone interested should contact the Technical Director of UPDF basketball teams Capt. Baker Kyambadde on 0782804214.

The UPDF Tomahawks failed to show up for the third-place game against UMU Flames and very many fans were disappointed at their actions.

According to the FUBA Regulations handbook, a team that fails to honor the placement games shall be fined 500,000 Ush.

Division One is still ongoing, with Rezlife Saints and Victoria University battling out in the finals, while Nkumba Lady Marines and Our Savior Banyabo are also going toe-to-toe.

The 2025 National Basketball League season shall tip-off on 14 March while the date for FUBA Division One is yet to be decided.
