2 of the 3 players that were supposed to join the Gazelles in Egypt are already in camp while 2 players are yet to join.

Paige Robinson and Claire Lamunu already arrived in the camp and are ready to go.

Claire arrived on Sat had took part in the Sunday sessions.

The head coach Nicholas Natuhereza commented on the progress Claire has made so far;

“We had Claire today (Sunday) for the morning session and she’s picked up really quickly”

The Captain, Jane Asinde also highlighted on what Lamunu has already brought to the team;

“She has added a lot to the team with her energy”

Paige Robinson arrived on Sunday and we are yet to know how she’s adjusted but it is important to note that she was part of the Gazelles during the trip to Germany in 2024.

Jamila ‘Zama’ Nansinkombi, who joined the camp in Uganda, was left behind and is supposed to be joining the team later on.

She’s expected to arrive on Tuesday just in time for the game against Egypt but she will miss the opener against Kenya.

Despite being away from the team, Zama has been doing personal workouts and she had a session with Coach Peace Nakirijja on Sunday.

Mellisa Akullu is another key component and she is also expected to join the team later on.

She’ll also miss the game against Kenya but will be available to face  Egypt on Tuesday.
