The Silverbacks team that will play in their second and final qualifying window for the 2025 Afrobasket has been named.
In February 2024, the Silverbacks played in their first window, and they achieved their goal, which was at least a win.
They lost in a very close game against Cape Verde 78-73 in their opener but bounced back with a huge 72-62 win against Nigeria the following day.
In their final game, they lost to Libya 71-59.
The biggest positive for Uganda was that Nigeria lost all their games and as things stand, Uganda is in a very good position if they can defeat Nigeria.
In this final qualifying window, all the teams shall play with groups A, C, and E playing in Rabat, Morocco, Group D in Madagascar, and Group B in Tripoli, Libya.
The local-based players shall train on Wednesday and Thursday, and the team shall travel on Saturday for a camp in Cairo.

Uganda has made a lot of changes to the squad that played in the previous window and there’s a lot of optimism that this squad can get the job done.
If Uganda can get a win against Nigeria, they will have put themselves in a very strong position.
